Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) sensor — replacement Ford F150
Note: The Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) sensor determines the oil pressure. A problem in the EOP sensor circuit will set a diagnostic trouble code.
Caution: If the EOP sensor is to be reinstalled, apply sealant to the sensor threads.
2.7L models
Note: On 2.7L models, the EOP sensor is located on the passenger’s side cylinder head, near the turbocharger.
Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe (2.7L model shown)
1. Loosen the clamps and remove the air filter outlet duct attached the the air filter housing lid and the left and right air intake ducts

7. Installation is reverse of removal. Tighten the sensor to the torque listed in this Chapter’s Specifications.
3.3L models
Note: 3.3L models, the EOP sensor is located behind the alternator.
8. If necessary for access, remove the air intake duct.
9. Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the EOP sensor.
10. Installation is reverse of removal. Tighten the sensor to the torque listed in this Chapter’s Specifications.
3.5L turbo and 5.0L models
Note: On 3.5L turbocharged and 5.0L models, the EOP sensor is located on the oil cooler/ filter adapter housing.
11. Loosen the left-front wheel lug nuts, then raise and support the front of the vehicle on jackstands.
12. Remove the under vehicle cover and/or skid plate (as equipped).
13. On 3.5L turbocharged models, remove the driver’s side inner fender splash shield (see Body).
14. On all models, locate the EOP sensor installed in the oil cooler adapter housing.
