Outside mirror
1. Using a trim tool, remove the door trim sail panel (see illustration).
.1 Carefully pry out the sail panel
2. On power mirrors, unplug the electrical connector(s).
3. Remove the nuts/bolts and detach the mirror from the door (see illustration).
.3 Remove the mirror retaining fasteners
4. To remove the mirror glass, first position the mirror glass fully inwards and upwards. Gently pry the glass out with a standard screwdriver from the correct location, which is from the lower outside corner. Be careful not to damage the mirror glass.
5. To remove the mirror glass, first position the mirror glass fully inwards and upwards. Gently pry the glass out and separate it from the mirror motor with a flat bladed screwdriver from the correct location, which is from the lower outside corner. Be careful not to damage the mirror glass.
Note: On vehicles with long-arm (double) mirrors, the lower mirror can be removed by hand, without the use of a screwdriver to pry it out.
6. The mirror motor (if equipped) is located underneath the glass and can be replaced at this time if necessary, by removing the three mounting screws and disconnecting the electrical connectors.
7. Installation is the reverse of removal.

8. These model vehicles may be equipped with several different types of rearview mirrors (6 different styles and types) — many of which require special factory service tools for replacement. To avoid potential damage to the mirror mounts or related components, this job is best left to be completed by a dealer service department.
