Rear axleshaft bearing — replacement Ford F150

1. Remove the axleshaft oil seal (see Rear axleshaft oil seal – replacement).

2. A bearing puller which grips the bearing from behind will be required for this job .

3. Attach a slide hammer to the puller and extract the bearing from the axle housing .

4. Clean out the bearing recess and drive in the new bearing with a bearing installer positioned against the outer bearing race . Make sure the bearing is fully seated in the recess.

5. Install a new oil seal (see Rear axleshaft oil seal – replacement).
