Turbocharger bypass valve — replacement Ford F150

Note: Only 2.7L and 3.5L (turbocharged) models are equipped with a Turbocharger bypass valve. A problem in the sensor circuit will set a diagnostic trouble code.

1. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands.

2. Remove the under vehicle cover and/or skid plate (as equipped).

3. Locate the turbocharger bypass valve attached to the intercooler above the outlet pipe.

4. Disconnect the turbocharger bypass valve quick-disconnect fitting.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Disconnect the electrical connector (1) and remove the two bolts (2) attaching the bypass valve to the intercooler

6. Remove the fasteners and the bypass valve from the intercooler

7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
