Air filter housing — removal and installation Ford F150

Warning: Wait until the engine is completely cool before beginning this procedure.

Note: The air filter housing base and coolant reservoir are one unit.

1. On 3.5L turbocharged models, disconnect the brake vacuum reservoir electrical connector. Remove the vacuum reservoir from the bracket and position aside.

2. On 2.7L, 3.3L and 3.5L turbocharged models, disconnect the two harness fasteners from the air filter housing.

3. Loosen the air intake tube clamp and disconnect the air intake tube

Remove the insulator bolt (A) and the intake scoop retainers (B)

4. Remove the bolt attaching the insulator to the fender and the two plastic retainers for the intake scoop

5. Pull upward firmly to disengage the bottom rubber retainers and remove the air filter housing.

6. Installation is the reverse of removal.
